EMT – Advanced
To become an advanced-EMT student, you must be a Utah certified EMT prior to enrolling in the course and must retain that certification throughout the course. This requirement by default means that you are 18 years of age or older and certified in Healthcare Provider (HCP) or Professional Rescuer CPR.
The goal of the A-EMT education course is to produce competent, entry level A-EMT’s to serve in career and volunteer positions within the EMS system. Course of 166 hours includes lecture, practical skills, and ambulance ride along hours.
