SWATC Cedar City Rotary Club Scholarship (Awarded Monthly)

RotaryThis scholarship is available because of generous donations from the Cedar City Rotary Club.  SWATC accepts scholarship applications and makes awards on a monthly basis, so the deadline is the last day of the month prior to the month the student wishes to start school. Click here for the SWATC Cedar City Rotary Club Scholarship application.  Your application will not be received until all required attachments are uploaded.  You may begin your application, save and return (up to 30 days) and submit once you are ready. If you need assistance you may contact Student Services at (435) 586-2899.  If awarded, you must submit a thank you letter addressed to the Cedar City Rotary Club (submit to SWATC Student Services), and allow SWATC Student Services to take your photo.  The Cedar City Rotary Club may use your letter and/or photo for marketing purposes.

SWATC High School Senior Scholarship (Due 2nd Friday in April)

SWATC offers scholarships to graduating high school students. The deadline is the second Friday of April of each year. Click here for the high school senior scholarship application. Your application will not be received until all required attachments are uploaded.  You may begin your application, save and return (up to 30 days) and submit once you are ready. If you need assistance you may contact Student Services at (435) 586-2899.  Generally, the scholarship will be presented by a SWATC representative at the high school’s annual senior awards ceremonies just prior to graduation.

222nd Military Members and Family Scholarship

Southwest Applied Technology College is proud to extend this application to local military and family members as a possible means of financial support for your education. Click here to download this scholarship application.

Utah Higher Education Assistance Authority

SWATC offers a need-based scholarship program sponsored by the Utah Higher Education Assistance Authority. The number of scholarships awarded will depend on the number of qualified applicants and the amount of scholarship money available. For information, contact Student Services at 435-586-2899.

Southern Utah Trucking Association Scholarship

The Southern Utah Trucking Association offers a scholarship to SWATC students to assist with the cost of educational expenses. To apply for this scholarship please complete this application and return to Student Services on our Main Campus. You may contact Student Services at 435-586-2899.

Automotive Aftermarket Scholarship

Thinking about an automotive aftermarket career? Good choice! Servicing or supplying parts to more than 250 million vehicles in the U.S. and Canada can be a rewarding career. An automotive scholarship can help pave the way. Scholarships are available for students training to become automotive, heavy duty or collision repair technicians, and to students in business, marketing, engineering, or other major courses of study.

Disability Scholarships A-to-Z is an online directory of scholarships for students with disabilities.

Horatio Alger Technical/Career Scholarships (open until all awards have been given out)

These are excellent scholarships of up to $2,500.  Our goal in assisting students financially is to prepare them for employment.  The Horatio Alger Association awards more than 12 million in scholarships each year—with this as our first year to make available these scholarships for career and technical programs.  Click on: for additional information.

Mike Rowe 2017 Work Ethic Scholarship

For the fourth year in a row, the time has come to announce another pile of free money available for our Work Ethic Scholarship Program, a program that gives scholarships to people getting trained for skilled jobs that are in demand.

Stay tuned when the program opens in set to launch Monday – March 20, 2017. Anyone with a pulse, and a desire to learn a trade, is invited to apply at that time. You can’t apply yet, but we’ll make an announcement when the program officially begins in March.

Click here for more details Scholarship Contest is pleased to announce their Video Scholarship Contest.  This is a unique scholarship contest offered to students studying in the professional fields of Plumbing, HVAC, Irrigation, and other closely related fields. This contest is designed to help students improve their skills and abilities through practice and experience. The scholarship program is centered on creating a short “How-To” demonstration video displaying skill, knowledge, and creativity.  This is one of the easiest and most fun scholarship contests that you can enter to win. There is a total of $3,000.00 in scholarship funds to be awarded. StudySoup Future Innovator Scholarship

We launched the StudySoup peer-to-peer learning marketplace in 2014, and now we are announcing our new Future Innovator Scholarship Program. When we were in school, we found that success in the classroom can be a pretty ambiguous thing. Every class has hours of lectures and dozens of readings. Come midterm time, most students are overwhelmed and have no idea how they should study. Without fail, however, there are always a few top students in the class who know exactly what it takes to be successful. At the end of the day, learning from your peers is the best way to learn, because after all, who understands your questions better than someone else in the class? As a company driven to help students succeed, we know that college is an important step along many career paths, but it can be expensive. Students can upload notes to to lighten their financial burden. However, we still felt like we could do more to give back to the future leaders of the world. Sysco ProStart Scholarship

Annually Sysco Intermountain awards one two year scholarship. Five thousand dollars a year for two years to graduating high school seniors who have completed a minimum of one year in the ProStart Program and plan to enroll in an advanced educational foodservice related program. Click here for more details and to apply.
